• Body length 8-16mm
• the integument of much of the scutum and scutellum is clearly exposed with only short hairs, or rather sparse hairs
• lack of long hair like that on thorax, developing on T1
• absence of dorobasal love or process of the male gonostylus
• unmodified legs in the male
• lacking brushed of black bristels on the male metasomal sterna
