Here you can see me using a microcapillary tube to ‘suck’ up the nectar. The tubes are a certain volume (in this case 15 micro-liters). Knowing how long the microcapillary tube is, and how long the nectar amount is within tube, we can calculate the volume of nectar within the flower.
